Last year, we had the enormous privilege of having the women out from the San Antonio Women’s and Teen Challenge facility to share their life stories. As someone (Donna) who has never dealt with addiction personally, it was an event that changed my life. I went from having the attitude of “HOW CAN THEY DO THAT WITH KIDS???” to “OH, WOW- they truly had no control over their lives and without a miracle, they would be dead.”
If you have struggled with addiction in the past, know someone who is currently struggling, or just want to know how to help someone who is living in addiction to overcome, then I highly encourage you to join us during our Sunday morning, 10:30 am, worship service to hear how Adult & Teen Challenge is changing lives.
This year, we are going to expand the event to include a Hamburger Plate fundraiser to support these women’s addiction recovery. Even if you don’t come to the service, but you would like to contribute to their cause, you are welcomed to join us at noon for the fundraiser. All funds collected will go directly to the facility in San Antonio.
