What We Believe

The Bible is the Word of God and final authority on how we live our lives. We believe the Bible is God’s revelation of Himself to humanity.

The Bible says you must be born again; the only way to be born again is to ask Jesus to be your personal Lord and Savior.

  • Romans 10:9
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
  • I John 3:1
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!
  • Romans 2:4
Or despise you the riches of his goodness and forbearance and long-suffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
  • 2 Peter 3:9 & 10
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Baptism of the Holy Spirit
  • John 16:7
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you
  • Acts 2:4
All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
The Gifts of the Spirit are relevant for today
  • I Corinthians 14:1
Love should be your guide. Be eager to have the gifts that come from the Holy Spirit, especially the gift of prophecy.
  • I Corinthians 12:4-11
There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.  There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.  And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.  But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:  for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,  to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,  to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.  But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills
Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever
  • Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

God is good
  • James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow.

Water Baptism
  • Matthew 28:19
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit

Communion
  • I Corinthians 11:24-26
and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”  For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
