Why We Do What We Do

Defend the Orphan

Isaiah 1:17 – “Learn to live right.  See that justice is done.  Defend the widows and orphans and help the oppressed.”

There was never meant to be foster care….orphans were not to remain orphans.  It is the job of the church at large – and the mandate of the Bible – to make sure orphans are cared for.  To take on such a task requires compassion, determination and faith.  God has raised up organizations with those qualities and focus.  Church at the Camp has chosen to partner with Coreluv.org as part of our mission’s outreach so we can do our part to care for the orphan.

Support Missionaries

Romans 10:14-15 – “How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed?  How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?  How will they preach unless they are sent?”

Church at the Camp is intentional in their mission’s outreach vision and goals.  We have a heart to participate in sending those who God has called to go out and make disciples of all men.  We believe in praying over missionaries, but we also believe it is our privilege to fund them as well!

Pray for Those in Authority

1 Timothy 2:1-3 – “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior.”

We have troops deployed from Mason, Texas and Church at the Camp feels it is critically important that we follow the mandate above and pray over our troops and our governments as a whole. We are honored to join with others in Mason as we all participate in the Yellow Ribbon Prayer Tree to prayerfully support those deployed as well as their families who are left behind. Their sacrifice is great and does not go unnoticed.
THANK YOU for your service.
